Heather Rowell is the Program Coordinator for IE3 Global internships in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Her work includes program promotion, candidate assessment, advising, program evaluation, abroad support, training and the day-to-day coordination of international internship programs. Heather had her first study abroad experience at 15, which motivated her to then study abroad in college, at the University of Hull in the UK. She went on to be Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Kenya, working on public health initiatives. Before joining the OSU GO/IE3 Global team, she spent six years as a Placement and Assessment Specialist at Peace Corps’ headquarters in Washington, D.C. supporting incoming volunteers and agency goals for a wide variety of programs in over 60 countries. Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She has completed coursework in a Master of Arts in International Education with the School for International Training (SIT). She enjoys travel, reading, photography and hanging out with her awesome (and spoiled) dog.
