A Letter of Collaboration (LOC) is a non-binding, general agreement initiating relations with a partner institution. An LOC expresses mutual interest in engaging in cooperative academic or research efforts. This is often the first step toward developing a more concrete program. OSU uses a standard template for LOCs. Any language deviating from the template, including LOCs originating with the partner, must be reviewed by Contract Services.
If you are ready to request a Letter of Collaboration, please submit a Letter of Collaboration Request. Once you submit the completed request form, we are typically able to prepare your document within 10 business days.
