Emiko Christopherson serves as an International Student Advisor for the Office of International Student Advising and Services (ISAS). Her primary job responsibility is to advise international students at all education levels on F and J immigration regulations. As part of her outreach responsibilities, she has planned and executed quarterly International Student Orientation since 2011 as a member of the International Student Orientation team. Additionally, she serves as a liaison between ISAS and the Athletic departments to serve International Student Athletes for their specific requirements and needs. She began her work in the field of International Education in 2007. As her professional development activities, she is actively involved with NAFSA: Association of International Educators and has presented several sessions at both the regional and national NAFSA conferences. She received her BA in International Studies at Chubu University in Japan and her her MEd in College Student Services Administration at Oregon State University. Emiko enjoys traveling, meeting with people, strolling through nature, playing sports, challenging new things, and spending time with friends and family.
