Immigration document check-in is required for all incoming international and exchange students in all OSU and INTO OSU programs. This includes students who are transferring to OSU from another school in the U.S.

International students will need to bring original immigration documents for themselves and their dependents to the Immigration Document Check-In.

Please have the originals arranged in the following order:

  • Your OSU I-20 or DS-2019, with a Port of Entry stamp
  • Previous I-20 or DS-2019 from your previous school, if you are transferring to OSU
  • Passport identification page showing name and expiration date, and extension page (if you have renewed your passport)
  • Your U.S. Visa (stamped in your passport) – Canadian citizens are exempt from this requirement only.
  • I-94 Arrival/Departure stamp in your passport (received at the Port of Entry)

In addition, you will be asked to complete a Biographical Information form and a Maintaining Status form during your Visa session at Orientation.  Please bring the completed forms to Immigration Document Check-In. If you cannot find your forms, they are also available under the Forms and Documents section for your convenience. Please bring the telephone number of an emergency contact, local address and your telephone number if available.
