The Division of International Programs (IP) is committed to the successful integration of international students and scholars and expanded opportunities for students and faculty to engage abroad.  The Division provides leadership for OSU's internationalization efforts, supports incoming and outgoing delegations, manages international partnerships and agreements, and cultivates global engagement.  The Division of IP collaborates closely with INTO OSU in the common mission of furthering campus internationalization efforts and ensuring success of all international students.  In addition, the Vice Provost for International Programs oversees the units described below.

International Student Advising and Services (ISAS)

International Student Advising and Services (ISAS) advises on a wide-range of issues including visa status, employment, travel, cultural adjustment, enrollment and other issues to approximately 4,000 OSU international students and their accompanying dependents.  ISAS also serves as the primary University contact for its more than 900 sponsored students and their sponsoring agencies.  In addition, ISAS manages select merit and financial need-based scholarships for international students including the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP), which has linked international students to cultural service opportunities in the Corvallis community for more than 30 years.  ISAS also oversees Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) reporting and compliance for all of OSU's campuses.

OSU Office of Global Opportunities (OSU GO) & IE3 Global

Formerly known as the Office of International Degree and Education Abroad (IDEA), OSU GO is the centralized hub for collaboration with OSU's 11 Colleges, providing support and guidance for their individual education abroad strategies.  OSU GO promotes opportunities through campus outreach and logistical support.  In addition, the unit develops departmental education abroad and study/exchange programs and supports faculty in developing and leading short-term programs.  OSU GO also promotes prestigious internal and national education abroad scholarships such as Gilman and U.S. Fulbright.

In addition, IE3 Global (formerly OUS International Programs) is managed through Oregon State University working as a self-funded programmatic unit within OSU GO to provide targeted development, support and implementation for OSU while continuing to serve the needs of a growing network of 18 university partners across the Pacific Northwest.

International Degree (ID)

The International Degree (ID) is OSU's unique double-degree undergraduate option for all students.  The International Degree, started in 1992, takes the education abroad experience further, through advanced language proficiency, increased cultural awareness and detailed analysis of an international aspect of a student's major field of study.  As of January 2015, over 190 students in 50+ majors across campus receive individualized program advising, one-on-one thesis mentoring with OSU faculty and unique supporting courses to aid in degree completion.

International Scholar and Faculty Services (ISFS)

ISFS serves as the central resource for recruiting and retaining top global talent, fielding questions related to securing US work visas and employment-based permanent residence.  ISFS assists campus with hosting international visiting scholars, researchers and student interns and ensures immigration compliance for the University.  Every year, ISFS serves close to 500 scholars from over 50 countries, connecting scholars and their families to campus and the community.

INTO Oregon State University (INTO OSU)

Established in 2008, INTO University Partnerships and Oregon State University began a long-term partnership designed to increase international student enrollment and further OSU's internationalization efforts.  The INTO OSU Center is comprised of:

International Admissions

International Admissions is responsible for all OSU international admissions at the undergraduate degreee-seeking level.  In addition, this unit is responsible for admission to English language and Pathway programs, professional programs and the OSU MBA program.  International Admissions also manages the OSU International Provost's Scholarship and INTO OSU scholarship programs.

International Student Experience

The INTO OSU Student Services team provides a range of co-curricular programs and services promoting social, personal and academic well-being for international students studying at OSU.  The team coordinates new international student orientation and a wide range of programming.  By partnering closely with OSU Student Afairs on student care, well-being, conduct and housing, the Student Services team provides international students with a wide range of information to assist them in their transition to OSU.  In addition, INTO OSU Student Services also provides and promotes student engagement opportunities, manages the Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program as well as the Global Village Living-Learning Community.

Academic Programs

The INTO OSU Academic team delivers intensive English programs, significant academic support and advising services.  Undergraduate and Graduate Pathways programs prepare students to be successful in OSU degree programs through a structured program of English, study skills and academic classes.
